Compared to conventional metal bearing units, it is possible to achieve a weight reduction of about 20-50% and reduce the rotational torque to about one-third!
We handle lower bearings for steering columns. The integrated design features clips and bolt holes on the outer diameter and special ribs on the inner diameter, which reduce the processing time for the counterpart components such as jackets and shafts, enabling cost reduction. The rigidity achieved is equal to or greater than that of conventional metal bearings. The metal bearing unit deforms under a load of 8,000N and disassembles at 8,500N.
